Computing Resources at
Chicago-Kent
Chicago-Kent boasts a computer network that is among the most technologically
advanced of any law school in the nation. More than one hundred personal
computers are devoted to student use in laboratories, student lounges,
classrooms, the libraries, even the cafeteria and atrium. All are linked
to a network that provides 24-hour access from the law school or from
students' home computers to the Internet and the LEXIS-NEXIS and Westlaw
legal databases.
Students can plug in laptops almost anywhere in the building to connect
to the school's computer network. Every seat in the library and almost
every classroom seat has a computer node. Faculty routinely prepare
interactive tutorials that can be accessed ahead of class.
Students who elect to reside in the Law House on the Illinois Institute
of Technology southside campus live in a supportive environment with
other law students who share similar academic interests and experiences.
The newly renovated Law House is linked by high-speed access to the
Chicago-Kent computer network.
