Apply to the J.D. program

To apply for the J.D. program, you may either submit an application online through the Law School Admission Council or download a PDF of the application form and instructions. Detailed application instructions are available in the application PDF or through the LSAC electronic application by clicking on the "Application Instructions" button on the electronic application form. The right navigation column of this page contains links to additional application forms and information.

First-Year JD Applicants

Although there is no absolute deadline for applications (with the exception of applicants applying under the binding Early Decision Program), we strongly suggest that they be filed as soon as possible after October 1, and preferably before March 1. Because we have a rolling admissions process, it is to your advantage to submit and complete your application as early as possible in the admissions cycle. First-year applicants are considered only for the current year and only for entry in the fall semester.

Transfer JD Applicants

Transfer students may apply to begin their studies in either the fall or spring semester. Although there is no absolute deadline for transfer applications, we suggest that they be filed by December 1 for spring admission and July 1 for fall admission.
