Location of the Law School

Chicago-Kent is located in downtown Chicago at 565 West Adams Street, between Clinton and Jefferson Streets. This location places us one block west of Union Train Station, three blocks south of the Ogilvie Transportation Center and three blocks west of the Sears Tower. Many of the buses that go to downtown Chicago (the "Loop") end up at the train stations and therefore are very convenient for commuting to Chicago-Kent. The elevated train ("el") stops are also within a few blocks of the building.

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) offers an information line that will tell you the best public transportation routes to your destination. To obtain information call (312) 836-7000 and tell them where you are located and where you would like to go. Public transportation route maps and timetables are also available through the CTA information line or on their website at www.transitchicago.com. Monthly passes for unlimited rides on CTA buses and trains currently cost $75 per month. Individual rides cost $2.00. All full-time students will automatically be enrolled in the CTA's U-Pass program which provides unlimited rides on all CTA buses and trains for the academic year. For 2005-06, the cost of the U-Pass was $172 for the academic year. For more information on the U-Pass program, visit www.kentlaw.edu/depts/

.

If you plan to drive to school, we are located approximately two blocks east of the Kennedy and Dan Ryan expressways, two blocks north of the Eisenhower expressway, and a mile west of Lake Shore Drive. There is some street parking, and there are many parking lots in the surrounding area. Discounted parking rates are available at some nearby lots. See www.kentlaw.edu/depts/administration/record.html for information on lots offering discounted rates.
