Throughout the year, the Office of Admissions receives notices of scholarships that are offered through external organizations. Information about the scholarship awards that are currently available is listed below.  Award notices are listed in the order in which they were received.

NEW! The Albert Pick, Jr. Scholarship Award

Application Deadline: June 4, 2018

The Albert Pick, Jr. Fund Law Student Scholarship Program, sponsored by The Albert Pick, Jr. Fund was established to assist a first-year law student who is a long-term resident of Chicago studying at one of the selected law schools in the Chicago area. One scholarship is offered each year for full-time study at one of the selected law schools. To apply for this scholarship, please pick up a copy of the scholarship application in the admissions office, Suite 230. NEW! The Illinois Judges Foundation Harold Sullivan Scholarship Award

Application Deadline: June 15, 2018

This scholarship was established as a permanent way of transmitting ethical values to new generations of law students. This scholarship was established in the name of, and to honor, Judge Harold W. Sullivan, one of the founders and a long-time supporter of the Illinois Judges Association.

This is an opportunity for students to gain recognition by top members of the Illinois state and federal judiciary. It's not just the scholarship funds that are important; the award is a valuable addition to any student's resume and a great chance to network at the award ceremony.To apply for this scholarship, please pick up a copy of the scholarship application in the admissions office, Suite 230. NEW! The Walker Scholarship Award

Application Deadline: June 15, 2018

The Darleen J. and Robert L. Walker Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to law students and those beginning law school anywhere in the state of Illinois or in Milwaukee, Wisconsin or St. Louis, Missouri. While scholarships are open to all, applicants who are from Masonic families, are former residents of the Masonic Children’s Home in LaGrange, Illinois, or are Masons themselves are especially encouraged to apply. NEW! The Jewish Judges Association of Illinois Foundation Scholarship Award

Application Deadline: July 16, 2018

The Robert E. Gordon Scholarship from the Jewish Judges Association of Illinois
Foundation, Inc. is available to law school students currently
accepted or attending an Illinois accredited law school who reside in Illinois and who have
demonstrated accomplishment in academic studies, commitment to public service and
financial need.To apply for this scholarship, please pick up a copy of the scholarship application in the admissions office, Suite 230. Or, email Gabriela Amador <gamador@kentlaw.iit.edu> to request a copy of the application.

The Illinois Judicial Foundation Scholarship Award

Application Deadline: May 18, 2018

Founded in 1983, the Illinois Judicial Council (“IJC”) is an organization comprised primarily, but not exclusively, of African American state and federal judges, administrative law judges and hearing officers. It has dedicated itself to bridging the
gap between the judiciary and the community through educational dialogues regarding the legal system.

The IJCF has honored the IJC Scholarship Committee with the task of selecting worthy recipients. The committee will use the following criteria in awarding the scholarships: need, community involvement, academic achievement, communication skills and ability to overcome obstacles.
