Throughout the year, the Office of Admissions receives
notices of scholarships that are offered through external
organizations. Information about the scholarship awards
that are currently available is listed below. Award
notices are listed in the order in which they were received.
You may also find information on other outside scholarship

NEW! Latham & Watkins LLP Fifth Annual Diversity Scholars Program
Application Deadline: September 15, 2009
Latham & Watkins LLP has opened the application process for the firm's fifth annual Diversity Scholars Program.
The firm is to award a $10,000 scholarship to each of four second-year law students for use during their third year (2010-11) at a law school.
The program was designed to help increase the number of diverse attorneys who want to pursue careers in global law firms. Factors considered in the selection of diversity scholars include academic and leadership achievements, life experiences and challenges, and a desire to practice at a global law firm and contribute to its diversity objectives.
Students are asked to submit an application form, personal statement, resume and official or unofficial law school transcript by Sept. 15. Visit the firm's Web site under the Diversity Scholars Program heading for details.
NEW! The Donald Banner Diversity Scholarship
Application Deadline: October 1, 2009
The Donald Banner Diversity Scholarship is open to all students currently enrolled in an American Bar Association accredited law school and pursuing a career in intellectual property law. The applicant must be a member of a historically under represented group (including race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and disability) and must have exemplary writing and oral communication skills. NEW! Alumni Board Scholarship
Application Deadline: October 1, 2009
The Chicago-Kent Alumni Board of Directors Scholarship is awarded to law students demonstrating academic merit and financial need. Applications for the 2009-2010 scholarships, which can be found through the link below, are due on Thursday, October 1, 2009.
Recipients will be announced in early November and will be honored at the annual Alumni Awards & Recognition Luncheon on Thursday, December 10, 2009. Please direct any questions to Tara Anderson, Director of Alumni Relations, at (312) 906-5245.
