that are currently available is listed below. Award

NEW! The Puerto Rican Bar Association of Illinois Scholarship
Application Deadline: September 25, 2009
The Puerto Rican Bar Association of Illinois has a scholarship opportunity for qualified current law students. For additional details and to apply online, please visit the PRBA of Illinois web site at www.prbalaw.com/Scholarship.html. The deadline to submit an application is Friday, September 25, 2009.
NEW! The Richard Linn American Inn of Court Mark T. Banner Scholarship for Law Students
Application Deadline: October 9, 2009
The Linn Inn Mark T. Banner Scholarship is a new scholarship created in the name of the late Mark T. Banner, a former Linn Inn founder and Master, a leader in the field of patent law in his own right, and the son of Donald W. Banner. This scholarship is part of the Linn Inn's commitment to fostering the development of intellectual property lawyers with commitment to ethics, professionalism and civility. The scholarship is open to all students currently enrolled in an ABA accredited law school interested in pursuing a career in intellectual property law. Applicants must have exemplary writing and oral communication skills. Recipients of the scholarship will receive $5,000 payable for the fall 2010 semester. Applications are available in the Office of Admissions, suite 230.
Latham & Watkins LLP Fifth Annual Diversity Scholars Program
Application Deadline: September 15, 2009
Latham & Watkins LLP has opened the application process for the firm's fifth annual Diversity Scholars Program.
The firm is to award a $10,000 scholarship to each of four second-year law students for use during their third year (2010-11) at a law school.
The program was designed to help increase the number of diverse attorneys who want to pursue careers in global law firms. Factors considered in the selection of diversity scholars include academic and leadership achievements, life experiences and challenges, and a desire to practice at a global law firm and contribute to its diversity objectives.
Students are asked to submit an application form, personal statement, resume and official or unofficial law school transcript by Sept. 15. Visit the firm's Web site under the Diversity Scholars Program heading for details.
The Donald Banner Diversity Scholarship
Application Deadline: October 1, 2009
The Donald Banner Diversity Scholarship is open to all students currently enrolled in an American Bar Association accredited law school and pursuing a career in intellectual property law. The applicant must be a member of a historically under represented group (including race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and disability) and must have exemplary writing and oral communication skills. Alumni Board Scholarship
Application Deadline: October 1, 2009
The Chicago-Kent Alumni Board of Directors Scholarship is awarded to law students demonstrating academic merit and financial need. Applications for the 2009-2010 scholarships, which can be found through the link below, are due on Thursday, October 1, 2009.
