notices of scholarships that are offered through external
organizations. Information about the scholarship awards
that are currently available is listed below. Award
notices are listed in the order in which they were received.

NEW! The SBAA Scholarship Award
Application Deadline: March 20, 2015
The SBAA provides scholarships every year to persons of Serbian birth or ancestry and/or their spouses who are enrolled in an accredited law school in the United States. Interested students can learn more and apply online at: http://www.serbbar.org/scholarships/
NEW! The Black Women Lawyers' Scholarship Award
Application Deadline: March 20, 2015
The Black Women Lawyers’ Association Scholarship Fund (BWLA-SF)
is distributing its 2015 Spring Essay Scholarship to at least THREE deserving students.

NEW! The Bohemian Lawyers' Association Scholarship Award
Application Deadline: April 9, 2015
The Bohemian Lawyers’ Association is the oldest ethnic Bar Association in Illinois. All persons of Czech, Moravian, Ruthenian, Silesian or Slovak ancestry enrolled in an accredited law school in the greater Chicagoland area are eligible for a Bohemian Lawyers’ Association of Chicago (BLAC) annual scholarship. NEW! The Timothy C. Evans Scholarship Award
Application Deadline: April 17, 2015
This scholarship was established to honor the commitment and dedication that the Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Timothy C. Evans, has devoted to the Northwest Suburban Bar Association (NWSBA) and to the community of Cook County. Judge Evan’s tireless commitment to public service and his passionate pursuit of legal excellence and integrity mirror the very virtues embodied by the NWSBA and its esteemed membership.
Applicants must live within the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division, which covers Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, LaSalle, Lake and Will counties. Factors that will be considered in awarding the scholarship include scholastic achievement, involvement in school and extracurricular activities, plus financial need.
Students currently enrolled in law school may apply for the Honorable Timothy C. Evans Scholarship, sponsored by the Northwest Suburban Bar Association and the Northwest Suburban Bar Association Foundation. Interested students can learn more and apply online at: http://www.nwsba.org/
NEW! The Grasshopper Entrepreneur Scholarship Award
Application Deadline: April 30, 2015
Founded by two entrepreneurs, Grasshopper has been making it easier to start and grow a small business since 2003. Back then, we started as just two guys with a dream and to date have served over 150,000 entrepreneurs (and we're still growing).
Grasshopper will award one (1) $5,000 scholarship for the best submitted entry determined by our judges. The scholarship will be awarded in check form, made payable directly to the university that the winner is, or will be, attending for a school term in 2015. The Grand Rapids Community Foundation Scholarship Award

The HotelsCheap Scholarship Award
Application Deadline: April 15, 2015
General Scholarship for Higher Learning: Spring 2015.

The AABA Law Foundation Scholarship Award
Application Deadline: May 1, 2015
The Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Chicago Area awards scholarships to law students who have demonstrated a commitment to serving the needs of the Asian Pacific American community, and who will continue to serve the needs of the Asian Pacific American community through pro bono, public interest, and/or public service legal work. A connection to the Chicago area is preferred. This year, the AABA Law Foundation intends to award one scholarship of $5,000 to a law student who has exemplified that commitment. The Babcock Partners Law Student Scholarship Award
Application Deadline: March 31, 2015
The Babcock Partners Law Student Scholarship is part of Babcock Partners commitment to helping those who demonstrate high academic achievement, exceptional leadership qualities and involvement with community service defray the costs of obtaining their legal education.
