notices of scholarships that are offered through external
organizations. Information about the scholarship awards
that are currently available is listed below. Award
notices are listed in the order in which they were received.

NEW! The AAJ Scholarship Award
Application Deadline: May 1, 2017
The Mike Eidson Scholarship Fund was established by the AAJ Women Trial Lawyers Caucus in 2008, in honor of AAJ Past President Mike Eidson, whose vision and generosity inspired it. The Scholarship, traditionally given in the amount of $5,000, is awarded annually to a rising 3L (or rising 4L in a night program) female student who has demonstrated a commitment to a career as a trial lawyer, along with dedication to upholding and defending the principles of the Constitution, and to the concept of a fair trial, the adversary system, and a just result for the injured, the accused, and those whose rights are jeopardized. Interested students should stop by the Admissions Office, Suite 230 to pick up a copy of the application by Friday, April 28th.
NEW! The Justinian Scholarship Award
Application Deadline: May 5, 2017
The DuPage County Chapter of the Justinian Society of Lawyers will, once again, be awarding a scholarship to a student of Italian extraction who has completed at least one semester of law school. Interested students should stop by the Admissions Office, Suite 230 to pick up a copy of the application by Monday, May 1st.
NEW! The Walker Scholarship Award
Application Deadline: June 5, 2017
The Darleen J. and Robert L. Walker Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to law students and those beginning law school anywhere in the state of Illinois or in Milwaukee, Wisconsin or St. Louis, Missouri. While scholarships are open to all, applicants who are from Masonic families, are former residents of the Masonic Children’s Home in LaGrange, Illinois, or are Masons themselves are especially encouraged to apply. NEW! The Illinois Judges Foundation Harold Sullivan Scholarship Award
Application Deadline: June 15, 2017
The Illinois Judges Foundation, the charitable arm of the Illinois Judges Association, funds educational, civic, and scholarship projects which advance the rule of law, the legal profession, and the administration of justice, and encourages judicial participation in these endeavors. This is an opportunity for students to gain recognition by top members of the Illinois state and federal judiciary. It's not just the scholarship funds that are important; the award is a valuable addition to any student's resume and a great chance to network at the award ceremony. Kenneth Christensen and Russell Hymas, the lawyers here are proud to offer a $1,000.00 scholarship for any individuals who qualify. To qualify for this scholarship you must be currently enrolled in or have been accepted to (and planning to attend) a Juris Doctorate program in the United States.
You must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher,
cumulative GPA of the current or most recent secondary education program you have attended, must be legally married, and you are required to submit a transcript verifying your GPA and marital status.
