One of the best ways to learn about a law school is to visit
the campus, and Chicago-Kent encourages all prospective students
to schedule a visit. We offer a number of different opportunities
throughout the year including law school tours,
weekly admissions information sessions,
class visits and open house
programs. To schedule your visit, please use our online form or call us at (312) 906-5020.
Prospective students who have been admitted to the fall entering class are encouraged to visit the Entering Class Web site (password required) for information about special visit opportunities for admitted applicants.
If you plan on visiting during a time when the Office of Admissions is closed, please download our audio tour which will guide you around the building and highlight key features of the school. We also encourage you to explore our virtual
tour, which includes information on the law school, our neighborhood,
Chicago's legal resources and the city of Chicago.
Admissions Information Sessions
Day: Friday, 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.
Evening: Tuesday, 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
The weekly Admissions Information Sessions provide
an overview of the J.D. admissions process and an introduction
to the law school community. The program includes a brief
presentation by a member of the admissions staff, a question and answer session, and a tour
of the law school led by either a current student or an admissions
staff member.
Please RSVP to the Office of Admissions online or at (312) 906-5020 prior to the session you would like to attend. Sessions may occasionally be canceled due to holidays or other special events at the law school.
Law School Tours
Day: Monday through Thursday, 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
Evening: Tuesday, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Tours of the law school are led by either a current law student or member of the admissions
staff. Tours last approximately 45 minutes.
Please RSVP to the Office of Admissions online or at (312) 906-5020 prior to the session you would like to attend. Tour dates may occasionally be canceled due to holidays or other special events at the law school.
You may also schedule an appointment to speak with an admissions counselor during your visit. Although we do not conduct evaluative interviews as part of the admissions process, our counselors are happy to meet with you to answer your questions about the admissions process and provide general information about the law school. To schedule a counseling appointment, please select this option on the online form or indicate your interest in an appointment when you call to schedule your visit.
If you would like to schedule an appointment with a financial aid counselor, please contact the Office of Financial Aid at finaid@kentlaw.edu or (312) 906-5180.
Class Visits
Prospective students may visit first-year day or evening classes
throughout the academic year, with the exception of the first
and last weeks of the semester. Class visits must be scheduled at least one week in advance.
To schedule a class visit, please
complete the online form or contact the Office of Admissions at (312) 906-5020.
Chicago-Kent Open
Houses
The Office of Admissions hosts several Open House programs for prospective students during the fall and early winter. All students who are interested in law school are invited to attend. Each event features
a reception with faculty and current students, tours of the law school, and a special program for
