Thinking About Law School?

The decision to apply to law school is exciting, but the law school application process can seem overwhelming. What do you need to do to apply? What should you write in your personal statement? How do you choose a law school? Chicago-Kent's seminar will answer your questions about the admissions process and provide you with insights into what schools are looking for in law school candidates.

Preliminary Program Schedule

5:30 - 6:00 p.m.

Registration and Opening Reception
6:00 - 6:15 p.m. Welcome by Dean Harold J. Krent
6:15 - 7:30 p.m.

Demystifying the Law School Admissions Process
Expert advice from an admissions professional about selecting law schools, preparing for the LSAT, preparing applications, writing your personal statement, and obtaining strong letters of recommendation. Current law students will also provide insight into the strategies they used for preparing their law school applications.

7:30 - 8:00 p.m. Law School Tours and Q&A with Admissions Staff and Current Students
Take a guided law school tour or speak with members of the admissions staff and current students about the admissions process and law school in general.

All prospective law students are invited to attend the October Open House. To register, please complete the online registration form or contact the Office of Admissions by phone at (312) 906-5020.
