Looking for Legal Experience this Fall?

Volunteer Opportunities

Spend a couple of hours a week volunteering at the Self-Help Web Center (SHWC) in Room 602 of the Daley Center.

The SHWC has three Internet-enabled computer workstations that give self-represented litigants access to user-friendly, web-based tools and resources created by Illinois Legal Aid Online. SHWC users can utilize Illinois Legal Aid Online’s content to better understand their legal issue and court procedures. In addition, over fifty document assembly interviews are now available to help visitors complete many common court forms and letters.

SHWC is currently seeking volunteer web facilitators. Volunteers gain real-world experience by helping self-represented and under-represented litigants access legal information through the Internet. To become an SHWC volunteer or to learn more about this program contact Michael Hoffman at mhoffman1@kentlaw.edu.
