Chicago-Kent College of Law established the Center for Access to Justice & Technology (CAJT) to make justice more accessible to the public by promoting the use of the Internet in the teaching, practice, and public access to the law.

Student Volunteers Needed at the Self-Help Web Desk At the Daley Centery

The Self-Help Web Desk is in need of volunteers to donate two hours of time per week at the Self-Help Web Center in the Cook County Clerk’s Office for the Civil Division at the Daley Center. The Web Desk is staffed by Chicago-Kent student volunteers who assist pro se litigants complete online interviews resulting in completely assembled court documents. Volunteers also assist litigants navigate the Daley Center and available public interest legal services around Chicago. Volunteering at the self-help web desk is a great way to learn about the Daley Center and the small claims legal process, and to get some experience interacting with people in need of legal help.

Public Interest Certificate Program

Letter of Intent

Chicago-Kent's Public Interest Certificate Program is currently accepting letters of intent for the certificate program. The Certificate requires 12 credit hours for completion, including Public Interest Law and Policy and the public interest section of Legal Writing IV. Letter of intent forms are available on the Center for Access to Justice & Technology website.
