Helpdesk has moved to room 525

The CLC main office is in room 525 and our hours are: 

Monday - Thursday  8:30 AM - 6PM
Friday 8:30 AM - 5 PM

When you have a question or need help, please email us at HELPDESK. HELPDESK is your main link to computer support. When your message is received, one of our Customer Service staff members will respond to you at their earliest convenience. If your email is inaccessible, you can also reach us by dialing 6-5300 or stopping by room 525. 

E-Mail Message Deletions

Please be advised that beginning Wednesday January 19th, e-mail messages and any associated attachments will be deleted from all e-mail accounts based on the Kentnet server. This is the same procedure that has been done for the past several terms. Please note that only messages and attachments will be deleted. E-mail lists and personal address books will remain in tact. All items will be backed up to tape and archived prior to deletion.

The e-mail deletions will occur January 19th, 20th, and 21st and be processed alphabetically by the first letter of e-mail addresses. For instance, user Jane Brown would have her e-mail deleted on the day scheduled for letter "J" and not letter "B." As of 1/4/00, the schedule for deletions is as follows:

Wednesday January 19th:
usernames S - Z

Thursday January 20th:
usernames J - R

Friday January 21st:
usernames A - I

FYI: Network Maintenance

Regular general maintenance of the network is necessary to ensure greater performance, both in terms of speed and the prevention of any serious problems. To achieve these goals, the Center for Law and Computers will periodically take down the network to perform this maintenance. We've scheduled the maintenance on a monthly basis, for only 1.5 hours on days and at times to inconvenience the least amount of users. 

Here are the dates that we will be taking the network down. On these days, the network will not be available between 5:30am and 7:00am.
