Summer 2016 CALI Awards. The CALI Excellence for the Future Award, sponsored by the Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction, is given to the student or students who receive the highest grade in each section of each course. The list of CALI Award winners for Summer 2016 courses is available by clicking here. Congratulations to all of you who received the award.

Constitution Day Observance. In observance of Constitution Day 2016, Professors Christopher Schmidt and Carolyn Shapiro of Chicago-Kent's Institute on the Supreme Court of the United States will give a talk titled "Crisis on the Court? The Constitution, Politics, and the Vacancy on the Supreme Court" on Monday, September 19, 2016, 4:00-5:00pm, in Rm. 510. The event is free and open to the public.

Praxis Certificate: September 13 Fall Kickoff Luncheon. The Praxis Program will hold its fall kickoff luncheon on Tuesday, September 13 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm in Rm. 170.  A complimentary lunch will be served. This once-a-semester luncheon is mandatory for students enrolled in the Praxis Certificate program, and open to any upper-class J.D. students with at least three semesters remaining who may be interested in enrolling in Praxis.  Tuesday'sluncheon will include a review of the Praxis program to date and feature speakers from the Chicago Bar Association and Chicago-Kent's Office of Career Services.   Enrolled Praxis students will receive an invitation by e-mail, and interested students who are not currently enrolled should RSVP by emailing Professor Van Neste as soon as possible at mvanneste@kentlaw.iit.edu.  

Labor and Employment Law Program: Information Session. The Program in Labor and Employment Law will hold an information session on Tuesday, September 13 at 4:00 pm in Rm. 370. Pizza and other refreshments will be provided. Come learn about the opportunities in labor and employment law at Chicago-Kent, including the certificate program, special scholarships for students in the program, opportunities to work on Institute for Law and the Workplace journals and a variety of co-curricular activities. Come also to mingle informally with labor/employment faculty and current students in the program.
