Sponsor/Title: ABA Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, Jacques T. Schlenger Student Writing Contest.
Topic: Essays should be on a current topic dealing with real property, probate, or trust law.
Prizes:  First place, $2,000, membership in the Section, and trip to Section's fall meeting; second place, $500; third place, $250.
Deadline:  Submissions must be received no later than June 15, 2003.

Sponsor/Title: American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) Nathan Burkan Memorial Competition.
Topic: Any aspect of copyright law.
Prizes: First place, $600, second place, $250, at each participating law school.
Deadline: Entries must be certified to the Society no later than June 30, 2003.
Other Information: Two winning papers will be chosen, and awards given, at each participating law school. Open to third-year (or, with permission, second-year) law students. Each school will be responsible for choosing the winning papers. Any Chicago-Kent student interested in submitting a paper should contact Dean Sowle well in advance of the June 30 deadline.
Sponsor/Title: NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund Scholarship Contest for Third-Year Law Students.
Topic: The constitutional right to keep and bear arms.
Prizes:  First place, $12,500 toward tuition; second place, $5,000; third place, $2,500.
Deadline:  Submissions must be received on or before July 1, 2003.

Sponsor/Title: American Intellectual Property Association, Robert C. Watson Competition.
Topic: A subject relating to the protection of intellectual property.
Prizes:  First place, $2,000.
Deadline:  Entries must be submitted on or before July 31, 2003.
