A Message from Public SafetyThe Public Safety Department would like to publicize the expansion of its boundaries for providing escorts. The previous two-block radius has been doubled to a four-block radius. This expanded coverage, which was instituted in response to concerns generated by criminal incidents occurring last month, has been made permanent.Though no guarantee of personal safety
can ever be made by a police or public safety organization, statistics
demonstrate that a person is 70% less likely to be victimized when traveling
with a partner, and 90% less likely when traveling with two or more companions.
Be an alert commuter, and project the image that you are not a victim.
Your behavior and attitude can make a difference in your personal safety.
