Student Employment for the Fall Term

A new payroll authorization must be completed by all student employees who will continue to work for you after August 17, 2003 (note: the "Fall Term", for payroll purposes, begins on August 18, 2003). Payroll authorizations are available in the OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE, SUITE 265 or you can obtain the Payroll Authorization on-line at "www.iit.edu/~controller/payauth.html".

The payroll authorization should be filled out completely listing August 18, 2003 or after (if the student's official start date is after 8/18) as the "Effective Date" of employment. The faculty member or administrator should fill in the account number, sign the payroll authorization in the "Department Head" section and have the student submit the form to my office for processing.

The new hours for the FALL SEMESTER will begin on MONDAY, AUGUST 18, 2003. The building and library hours are as follows:

Discounted parking rates are available to faculty, staff and students that display a Chicago-Kent parking sticker in the lower left-hand-corner of their windshield. Parking permits for the Fall semester are available from Theda Mickey in the Office of Administration and Finance, Suite 265 and Follett's Bookstore, C-60.

Downtown Campus General Safety Tips

Do not travel alone in public areas, or stand alone at the bus stop, or corner. Keep alert for person(s) following you. Be wary of strangers offering assistance. Don't openly wear or display jewelry or handbags. The Downtown Campus of IIT provides year-round security officer escorts after 5:00 PM weekdays and on weekends.

Monday through Friday: 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM.

Reserving a Room at the Downtown Campus

Faculty, staff, students and student organizations can reserve rooms at the Downtown Campus for meetings, study, speaker events, etc. An electronic form is available online. An email will be sent to you confirming your reservation within 24 business hours.
