A new payroll
authorization must be completed by all student employees
who will continue to work for you after May 22, 2004. (note:
Summer Term" will be from May 23 thru August 15, 2004).
Payroll authorizations are available in the OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATION
AND FINANCE, SUITE 265 or you can obtain the Payroll Authorization
on-line at http://www.iit.edu/~controller/payauth.html.
The payroll
authorization should be filled out completely listing May
23, 2004or after (if the student's official start date is
after 5/23) as the "Effective Date" of employment.
The faculty member or administrator should fill in the account
number, sign the payroll authorization in the "Department
Head" section and have the student submit the form
to my office for processing.

Discounted parking
rates are available to faculty, staff and students that
display a Chicago-Kent parking permit in the lower left-hand-corner
of their windshield. The spring permit will be honored beginning
January 12, 2004. The fall permit will be
good through January 30, 2004.
Faculty
and staff who like to advantage of the parking discount
may pick-up the Spring Semester permit from:

Downtown
Campus General Safety Tips
Do not travel
alone in public areas, or stand alone at the bus stop, or
corner. Keep alert for person(s) following you. Be wary
of strangers offering assistance. Don't openly wear or display
jewelry or handbags. The Downtown Campus of IIT provides
year-round security officer escorts after 5:00 PM
weekdays and on weekends.

a Room at the Downtown Campus
Faculty, staff,
students and student organizations can reserve rooms at
the Downtown Campus for meetings, study, speaker events,
etc. An electronic form
is available online. An email will be sent to you confirming
your reservation within 24 business hours.
