STUDENT EMPLOYMENT FALL 2004

A new payroll authorization must be completed by all student employees who will continue to work for you after August 15, 2004. (NOTE: "Fall Term", for student payroll purposes, begins on August 16, 2004). Payroll authorizations are available in the OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE, SUITE 265 or you can obtain the Payroll Authorization on-line at http://www.iit.edu/~controller/payauth.html.

The payroll authorization should be filled out completely listing August 16, 2004 or after (if the student's official start date is after 8/16/04) as the "Effective Date" of employment. The faculty member or administrator should fill in the account number, sign the payroll authorization in the "Department Head" section. All students should then submit the form to the Office of Administration and Finance, Suite 265 for processing.

DISCOUNTED PUBLIC PARKING RATES FOR DTC FACULTY, STAFF and STUDENTS - FALL 2004

Discounted parking rates are available to faculty, staff and students that display a Chicago-Kent parking permit in the lower left-hand-corner of their windshield. The Fall permit will be honored beginning August 16, 2004. The Spring permit will be good through August 31, 2004.

Faculty and staff who like to take advantage of the parking discount may pick-up the Fall Semester permit from:

  • Theda Mickey, Office of Administration and Finance, Suite 265

Students who like to take advantage of the parking discount may pick-up the Fall Semester permit from:

  • Follett Bookstore, C-60

DOWNTOWN CAMPUS GENERAL SAFETY TIPS

Do not travel alone in public areas, or stand alone at the bus stop, or corner. Keep alert for person(s) following you. Be wary of strangers offering assistance. Don't openly wear or display jewelry or handbags. The Downtown Campus of IIT provides year-round security officer escorts after 5:00 PM weekdays and on weekends.

RESERVING A ROOM AT THE DOWNTOWN CAMPUS

Faculty, staff, students and student organizations can reserve rooms at the Downtown Campus for meetings, study, speaker events, etc. An electronic form is available online. An email will be sent to you confirming your reservation within 24 business hours.
