Board of Directors - Sponsored Events

The Alumni Board of Directors sponsors numerous events throughout the year. Participation in these events allows graduates to maintain contact with the law school, their former classmates, and the Chicago legal community. The Board keeps alums connected to the law school through two types of programming events: social and educational/professional.

Social Events

The Alumni Board sponsors the annual Alumni Awards Luncheon. In 2006, more than 300 alumni and friends attended the awards luncheon. The event provides a venue for former classmates to rekindle relationships and to network, and also allows the Chicago-Kent community to celebrate the accomplishments of its alumni through the presentation of the Distinguished Service Award, the Professional Achievement Award, the Young Alumnus Award, and the newly introduced Honorable Abraham Lincoln Marovitz Public Service Award. (Please note: This year, the Marovitz awards will be presented in a separate ceremony in Spring 2008.)

Please mark you calendar for this year's event, to be held on December 5, 2007, at the Standard Club Chicago. For a list of past award recipients, please click here. For more information on the awards ceremony, please visit www.kentlaw.edu/allalumlunch.

Educational/Professional

The Alumni Board also sponsors events that allow Chicago-Kent alumni and students to network. The events are social, informative and ideal for cultivating strong ties between alumni and friends of Chicago-Kent. The Distinguished Alumni Speaker series and the Take a Break series are two wonderful examples of innovative programming that the Board has founded.
