| This
November, alumni around the country made new acquaintances,
renewed relationships, and shared memories of their
law school years. Thanks to Scott Gautier ’97
and Kelly Frazier for graciously hosting a Los Angeles
event at their Manhattan Beach home. I was pleased
to see a mixture of familiar and new faces there and
among alumni in Phoenix as well. The Career Services
Office hosted a Public Service Gathering in Washington
D.C. I am delighted that so many of you are willing
to give advice to students about career advancement
and strategy.
On November 16, the Law School held its 29th
Annual Alumni Luncheon, honoring nine outstanding
alumni and their contributions to the legal community.
With record attendance of more than 350 people and
over $36,000 in sponsorship support for the Alumni
Board of Directors Scholarship Fund from friends and
alumni, we have a great deal to be thankful for. I
am confident that with the leadership of our Alumni
Board of Directors, our alumni networking efforts
will continue to prosper.
We are committed to improving how we reach out to
you and your fellow alums, as well as how to better
connect you to one another. Please take advantage
of our new Online
Community , which allows you to update your employment
and contact information, as well as connect with fellow
alumni. To log on, complete this Online
Community password request form, and you will
receive a reply with your username and password. The
Online Community allows alumni to search for each
other through a myriad of options, including class
year, practice area, and city. Happy searching.
I wish you a healthy and happy holiday season.
Sincerely,
Harold

Participate
in Annual Giving
As the
end of the year approaches, we hope that you will
consider making a tax deductible gift to Chicago-Kent
this year. It is our goal to receive support from
15% of our living alums this year – every gift
counts and is greatly appreciated.
Perhaps
you recently received our annual year end solicitation
in the mail that outlines options for gifts to the
Annual Fund, Kent Justice Foundation, the Legal Clinics
Program, Moot Court, the Trial Advocacy Program, the
Brill Chair and ILW. You can also make
your gift online.
Gifts to
the Brill Chair from alums who have not made a gift
in the last 10 years will be matched by an anonymous
alumnus. Make a gift to the Brill
Chair today and double its impact.
