Dean Harold J. Krent

Thank You for Your Support

In this season of gratitude, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all of you for your support of the law school and your communities at large. Each year, you lend your time and talent serving as mentors to our students, dedicate your skills and experience performing much-needed pro bono work, and donate your hard-earned resources to worthy organizations throughout the world. Chicago-Kent is proud to have a place in the lives of those who so willingly work to make the world a better place.

As you may have heard, Tuesday, December 2nd has been denominated "Giving Tuesday," a day when individuals around the world are encouraged to come together to celebrate generosity and to give more. I hope you will join in this new tradition of Giving Tuesday by including Chicago-Kent in your giving today. Our first-ever Today for C-K campaign on October 29th raised more than $170,000 from alumni over the world, including Georgia, Egypt and China. Let's keep up the momentum!

A gift to Chicago-Kent does more than just alleviate a present need for the law school. Your support is a long-term investment with far-reaching impact. By giving to Chicago-Kent, you are helping to train the next generation of lawyers who will provide legal counsel to support the businesses that drive our economy, protect the technological advances that improve our world, and influence the policy that shapes our government.

Thank you for all you do, and for making Every Day for C-K.

Dean and Professor of Law

Successful Fall for Chicago-Kent Moot Court Teams
The Chicago-Kent Moot Court teams experienced tremendous success this fall, receiving a first-place award in every competition this term. In addition to several quarter and semi-final finishes, Chicago-Kent students took first place overall in the National Veterans Law competition and the International Competition in Information Technology & Privacy Law as well as first place in Region 8 of the National Moot Court competition. David Repking was named Best Oral Advocate at the Appellate Lawyers Association National Moot Court Competition, and Emily Herbick and Abrahem Wehbi received Best Brief honors at the National Health Law Moot Court Competition. Congratulations to all who participated!

Volunteer for the Alumni Ambassador Program
Help Chicago-Kent recruit the best and brightest law students by serving as an Alumni Ambassador. The Alumni Association is seeking alumni to contact admitted students and answer any questions or concerns they may have about attending Chicago-Kent. Personal outreach can go a long way in attracting top students to our great law school. Contact takes place February through April. For more information, visit our website here.
