New Facilities Improvements Underway at Chicago-Kent Chicago-Kent initiated a number of building projects this spring to improve our students' experience and enhance the reputation of the law school. On April 8, we dedicated the James L. Morici, Jr. Advocacy Corridor, a new space outside the first-floor courtrooms which, thanks to the generosity of its namesake, will now house trophy cases for our advocacy teams. With the continuing success of both our Trial Advocacy and Moot Court teams, Jim’s gift could not have come at a better time. This summer’s projects include renovations to open the Flanagan Family Terrace, an outdoor patio space on the 9th and 10th floors well as the Elaine R. Levin Student Lounge on the 2nd floor. Through the generous philanthropy of Thomas Flanagan '63 and Elaine R. Levin '85, students will now be able to take a break from study in the library to enjoy fresh air and study with friends in the Starbucks atmosphere of the second-floor student lounge. These gifts are just a few examples of how alumni support is vital to the growth of Chicago-Kent. I want to thank Tom, Jim, Elaine and all the members of the alumni community who donated to Chicago-Kent this past fiscal year. I hope you all will take advantage of the numerous events taking place this summer including Alumni Gatherings in Washington DC and Denver on June 4 and 18th, the Trial Advocacy Reunion on June 11th, and the last of our Alumni CLE Series on Ethics on June 19th. I wish you well for the summer.
