This
month, we celebrate a number of outstanding alumni
and faculty accomplishments, beginning with the 10th
anniversary celebration of the Institute for Law and
the Workplace. Under the direction of Marty Malin,
the Institute is recognized as a national center for
research, training, dialogue, and reflection on the
law that governs the workplace. Please join me in
congratulating Marty, and our thriving labor program,
at a cocktail reception, Thursday, March 2, at the
law school, as we toast a decade of excellence.
Additionally,
Billy Dec ’99, has graciously agreed to host
a Chicago-Kent young alumni and student event this
month, at his famed Rockit Bar and Grill. We are looking
forward to hosting this unique and exciting networking
party. We end the month with another outstanding IIT
alumnus hosting an alumni event, as John Calamos,
CEO of Calamos Investments, welcomes all Naperville-area
IIT alumni with a reception on Tuesday, March 28,
at his headquarters, 2020 Calamos Court in Naperville.
We
are grateful for the continuous support of our alumni,
and hope to see you at these and the many events we
have planned this month.
Sincerely,
Harold J. Krent
Dean and Professor of Law
