Due to limited seating, we are offering a lottery for students, alumni and staff who wish to attend. The deadline to submit an entry for the lottery is Friday, September 21 at 5:00 p.m.
Lottery Instructions:
Online lottery forms are for alumni, students and staff who wish to attend the lecture and Q&A session with U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stevens. The deadline to enter the lottery is Friday, September 21 at 5:00 p.m. Please submit only one form per person; duplicate forms will not count as additional entries.
If you are selected in the lottery, you will be notified on Monday, September 24 and will need to confirm your attendance by Wednesday, September 26. If you do not receive a notification email on Monday, September 24, your name will be put on a waiting list in the event that others are not able to attend.

Alumni Board of Directors Scholarship: Due Oct. 1
The Chicago-Kent Alumni Board of Directors Scholarship is awarded to law students demonstrating academic merit and financial need. Applications for the 2012-2013 Scholarships are due Monday, October 1, 2012.
Recipients will be announced in early November and will be honored at the annual Alumni Awards & Recognition Luncheon on Thursday, November 15, 2012.

Fall 2012 Grads: Application for Graduation
Graduation Application Deadline. Students (JD) who plan on graduating at the end of the Fall semester must submit a graduation application form online no later than Friday, September 7, 2012. To complete the form online, log in to your webmail account; click on the Web for Students icon in lower left portion of the left frame; select "Application for Graduation" under the "Online Forms" heading; complete the full form (please complete every field); and submit your selection. You will receive a confirmation e-mail once a graduation audit has been performed. Please note that any changes you make to your schedule after the audit may affect your graduation requirements. You should check with the Registrar's Office prior to making any changes. Please note: The Registrar's Office does conduct graduation audits on all applications, but it is your responsibility to make certain all requirements for graduation are met. If you have any questions, please stop by the office.
LLM Grad. Application Deadline: Students who plan on graduating at the end of the Fall semester must submit a graduation application to the Registrar's Office no later than Friday, September 7, 2012. You are not to fill out the online form through "web for students". You will complete a paper application that is available to you from the Registrar's Office or the OILP office.

ABA Death Penalty Representation Project Panel
On Wednesday, September 12, the American Bar Association Death Penalty Representation Project and IIT Chicago-Kent will present a discussion about the future of the death penalty and why lawyers are essential to ensuring justice for death row prisoners. The program is eligible for 1.25 hours of IL MCLE credit and is co-hosted by the Chicago-Kent Chapter of the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy (ACS).
Confirmed speakers include: Senator Kwame Raoul '93 (IL), Shari Silberstein (Equal Justice USA), Sen. Terry Gerratana (CT) and others.

Race Judicata is September 13, and Chicago-Kent has a team!
The Sportfeasors, an organization of students, alumni, and faculty with the goal of promoting Chicago-Kent through various athletic activities, has reserved a tent for those who sign up with their team, and would love to have as many alumni as possible run with them.
When you register for the race at http://www.cvls.org/judicata/, please choose Chicago-Kent Sportfeasors from the team drop down menu, and email sportfeasors@kentlaw.iit.edu to be included in team communications.
The Sportfeasors will be providing food and drink at the tent before and after the race.

The Chicago-Kent Alumni Association is sponsoring a new student organization, the Chicago-Kent Student/Alumni Board, to strengthen the connections between current students and the Chicago-Kent alumni community. We're looking for students who are interested in hosting alumni at special events, getting involved with alumni initatives, and serving as a student representative to provide feedback on various law school initiatives.
