125th Anniversary Block Party

RSVP to Attend the 125th Anniversary Block Party
IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law will host its 125th Anniversary Block Party on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 11 am to 8 pm. Take advantage of the opportunity to network with Chicago-Kent faculty, staff and alumni. Enjoy live music from area bands featuring Chicago-Kent alumni and friends. Local Chicago vendors such as Par Bar, Al's Beef and Pazzo's @ 311 will provide tasty food offerings as well as beverage tastings from Lagunitas Brewery and Old Sugar Distillery. RSVP Today.

Attend a Fireside Chat with Block Party Sponsor Tony Magee, Founder of Lagunitas Brewery
On Thursday, September 26, Lagunitas Founder Tony Magee will participate a Fireside Chat at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law to discuss the challenges he faced building and running a successful start-up and what it takes to sustain the health of the fastest growing brewery in the U.S. In addition to the interview, this event will also feature an Audience Q&A and Lagunitas beer tasting. This event is co-sponsored by IIT Chicago-Kent, the IIT Stuart School of Business' Knapp Entrepreneurship Center and Lagunitas Brewing Company.

Roles include festival guides, building tour guides, or registration volunteers. Get a free volunteer-only t-shirt, free admission, and a free meal!

Promote your student organization at the Block Party on Saturday, September 28 from 11am-8pm.

We are asking 6-8 student organizations to sponsor activities for festival-goers. In return, your organization can promote its work, meet potential alumni volunteers, and raise money by charging an activity fee. Submit your application by Monday, September 26 at 5pm.

Alumni Career Advisor Network

Alumni Career Advisor Network: Log-in Information for Students

In an effort to help you connect with a strong network of Chicago-Kent alumni, the Alumni Association and Office of Career Services offer the Alumni Career Advisor Network. Alumni from around the world are available to discuss issues such as practice trends, legal markets in specific geographic areas, and other career-related topics. This is an excellent opportunity to start building your personal network with Chicago-Kent alumni!

To search for an Alumni Career Advisor, all you have to do is log-in to the Chicago-Kent Alumni Association website.

First Time Login Instructions:

  1. Go to www.alumni.kentlaw.edu/firstlogin In the Constituent ID field, enter your Banner CWID.
    To find your Banner CWID login to http://my.iit.edu. Once you are logged, on the right side of your screen you should see a box called IIT Personal ID numbers. The Banner CWID is the number beginning with “A.”
  2. In the Class Year Field:
    • If you are an LLM student, enter LLM. If you are a Visiting student, enter LV.
    • If you are a JD student your Class Year will be three characters. The first letter for all class years will be L. The second letter is your division. The third is your year number. 
      Examples: A 2nd year night student’s class year is LN2. A 1st  year day student’s class year is LD1.

During your first time login you will create a username and password. Afterwards, you may log in directly at www.alumni.kentlaw.edu/advisorsearch using the username and password you created. If you need assistance with your first time login, please contact the Office of Career Services at kentcso@kentlaw.iit.edu or visit Suite 360.
