ATTENTION- ALL STUDENTS INTERESTED IN LABOR AND
EMPLOYMENT LAW

Employment Issues in a Changing Corporate World

On Wednesday and Thursday, April 25-26, 2001, the law school will host a seminar on
Employment Issues in a Changing Corporate World.  The program is designed for in-house counsel, outside counsel, corporate, employment, labor law and employee benefits attorneys and senior-level labor relations, human resources, and employee benefits professionals, and will provide insight and advice on the most challenging legal and strategic employment and benefits issues in mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations.   Law students (JD only) enrolled at Chicago-Kent are welcome to attend any or all of the program sessions free of charge (note: course materials and meals are not included. Copies of the materials will be available in the library at a later date).  Pre-registration is required!  To register, please stop by the Office of Continuing Legal and Professional Education (Suite 673) to fill out a registration form. Students must register on or before Monday, April 23, 2001. 

Also, if you are interested in providing some of your time to volunteer at the seminar, in exchange for complementary course materials and the opportunity to network at the conference luncheon, please let us know when you stop by our office to register or by e-mailing rvicario.

The 20th annual Federal Tax Institute

On Thursday and Friday, May 3-4, 2001, the law school will host the 20th annual Federal Tax Institute.  The Institute features a comprehensive program presented by a faculty of leading experts for tax advisors and practitioners.  This seminar is designed for attorneys, accountants, corporate tax executives, and business and tax advisors as an update on the most current legislation, cases and rulings affecting the federal tax sector.  Law students (JD only) enrolled at Chicago-Kent are welcome to attend any or all of the program sessions free of charge (note: course materials and luncheon are not included.  Copies of the materials will be available in the library at a later date).  Pre-registration is required!  To register, please stop by the Office of Continuing Legal and Professional Education (Suite 673) to fill out a registration form.  Students must register on or before Tuesday, May 1, 2001.
