UPCOMING PROGRAMS 2002

ATTENTION - ALL STUDENTS INTERESTED IN CIVIL RIGHTS LITIGATION

The 19th annual conference on Section 1983 Civil Rights Litigation

On Thursday and Friday, March 21-22, 2002, the law school will host Professor Sheldon Nahmod's 19th annual Section 1983 conference. The conference features nationally prominent law professors and practitioners who offer instruction on both the fundamentals and the more advanced aspects of §1983 practice and trial skills, and analyze the latest case decisions. If you can attend only one session, come for Professor Nahmod's lecture on the prima facie case against individuals. This is a unique opportunity for students who intend to be involved in federal court litigation when they practice.

Law students (JD only) enrolled at Chicago-Kent are welcome to attend any or all of the program sessions free of charge (note: course materials are not included; however, copies of the materials will be available in the library at a later date). Pre-registration is required! To register, please stop by the Office of Continuing Legal
and Professional Education (Suite 673) to fill out a registration form. Students must register no later than Tuesday, March 19, 2002.

Also, if you are interested in providing some of your time to volunteer at the program in exchange for complementary course materials and an opportunity to network at the program reception, please let us know when you stop by the office to register, or by e-mailing rvicario.
