The 26th annual Section 1983 Civil Rights Litigation Conference

On Thursday and Friday, April 23-24, 2009, Chicago-Kent will present Professor Sheldon Nahmod's 26th annual Section 1983 conference. The conference features nationally prominent law professors and practitioners who offer instruction on both the fundamentals and the more advanced aspects of §1983 practice and trial skills, and analyze the latest case decisions. If you can attend only one session, come for Professor Nahmod's lecture on the prima facie case against individuals. This is a unique opportunity for students who intend to be involved in federal court litigation when they practice.

Law students (JD only) enrolled at Chicago-Kent are welcome to attend any or all of the program sessions free of charge. Course materials are not included; however, copies of the materials will be available in the library after the program.

If you are interested in volunteering to work at the conference, in exchange for complementary course materials and an opportunity to network at the program reception, please let us know when you stop by the office (Suite 675) to register, or by e-mailing dvilla@kentlaw.edu. Pre-registration is required no later than Monday, April 20, 2009.
