The 30th Anniversary
Section 1983 Civil Rights Litigation Conference

On Thursday and Friday, April 18-19,2013, Chicago-Kent will present Professor Sheldon Nahmod’s 30th anniversary Section 1983 conference. The conference features nationally prominent law professors and practitioners who offer instruction on both the fundamentals and the more advanced aspects of §1983 practice and trial skills, and analyze the latest case decisions.

Law students (JD only) enrolled at Chicago-Kent are welcome to attend any or all of the program sessions free of charge. Course materials and luncheon are not included; however, copies of the materials will be available in the library after the program.

If you are interested in volunteering to work at the conference, in exchange for complimentary course materials and an opportunity to network at the program reception, please let us know when you stop by the office (Suite 675) to register, or by e-mailing cle@kentlaw.iit.edu. Pre-registration is required no later than Monday, April 15, 2013.

The 32nd annual Federal Tax Institute

On Thursday and Friday, May 2-32013 the law school will present the 31st annual Federal Tax Institute. Nationally recognized tax advisors will provide a comprehensive, practical update on the latest newsworthy tax developments and their impact on tax planning, compliance and controversy techniques for attorneys, accountants, corporate tax directors and staff. This year’s keynote speaker is Sergio E. Arellano, Director, International Business Compliance, Internal Revenue Service.

Law students (JD only) enrolled at Chicago-Kent are welcome to attend any or all of the program sessions free of charge. Course materials, lunch and admittance to the reception are not included; however, copies of the materials will be available in the library after the program.
