The 37th annual Kenneth M. Piper Lecture
On Tuesday, April 14, 2015 the law school will present the 37th annual Kenneth M. Piper Lecture. Noah D. Katz, Professor of Law, Associate Director of the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment, University of California, Los Angeles, will discuss what work law could become as a result of a disintegrated labor market. Two labor and employment leaders will comment on the lecture from international perspectives.
Law students (JD only) enrolled at Chicago-Kent are welcome to attend any or all of the program sessions free of charge. Course materials and reception are not included; however, copies of the materials will be available in the library after the program.
The 32nd annual Section 1983 Civil Rights Litigation Conference
On Thursday and Friday, April 16-17, 2015 Chicago-Kent will present Professor Sheldon Nahmod’s 32nd annual Section 1983 conference. The conference features nationally prominent law professors and practitioners who offer instruction on both the fundamentals and the more advanced aspects of §1983 practice and trial skills, and analyze the latest case decisions.

The 34th annual Federal Tax Institute
On Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1, 2015 the law school will present the 34th annual Federal Tax Institute. Nationally recognized tax advisors will provide a comprehensive, practical update on the latest newsworthy tax developments and their impact on tax planning, compliance and controversy techniques for attorneys, accountants, corporate tax directors and staff.
Law students (JD only) enrolled at Chicago-Kent are welcome to attend any or all of the program sessions free of charge. Course materials, lunch and admittance to the reception are not included; however, copies of the materials will be available in the library after the program.
