ATTN: Class of '01, '02, & LLMs: Begin Preparing for the Fall Interviewing Season
Although the 2000 fall interviewing season begins in August, it's best to begin preparing early.  You will be amazed at how quickly you need to research and preference employers once you return to school.  If you missed the preliminary Fall Interviewing Program in April, check out the videotape available in the CSO.  Also, be sure to check out the preliminary packet of information, containing information about the program and tips on how to research employers and attorneys.  The packet is available on the Fall Interviewing Web page (contact our office for the password.)  Several programs will be offered in July and August to assist you in the research process and to help you brush up on your interviewing skills.  See the programming section below for more information about dates and times.  The On-Campus Employer List will be available on the Web and in the CSO beginning August 7th; the Direct Contact List will be availabe beginning August 14th.

Please pre-register for any of the following CSO programs by signing up in the office, calling (312) 906-5200, or e-mailing kentcso@kentlaw.edu with the title, date and time of the program you wish to attend (unless otherwise noted).

Wednesday, August 16th
10:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Wednesday, August 30th

Thursday, August 31st
10:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Wednesday, September 13
10:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Please submit a resume 24 hours in advance of your appointment and indicate the employer-type you want her to assume in the mock interview.  You are encouraged to come dressed as you would for an actual interview.  Sessions are videotaped, after which you will receive a candid critique of your current interviewing skills while watching the video.  Students interested in keeping a copy of their session are encourgaed to bring their own blank videotape to the mock interview.

Mandatory Fall Interviewing Program Meeting for '01 & '02 Graduates
On Tuesday, August 22nd, all students who wish to participate in the Fall Interviewing Program are required to attend an informational meeting that will answer all your questions about the process.  Prior to attending the program, students should read through the packet titled,  "2000 Fall Interviewing Program: Student Information for 2001 & 2002 Graduates", available on the Web and in the CSO.  For students who have participated in the Fall Interviewing Program before, you have your choice of attending from 12:00 - 12:15 p.m. or 5:00 - 5:15 p.m.  First time participants should attend from 12:15 - 1:00 p.m. or from 5:15 - 6:00 p.m.
