Symplicity On-line Job Posting System

Current C-K Law School Students

Students enrolled at Chicago-Kent College of Law can access information on full- and part-time, summer, school year and post-graduation employment opportunities which have been submitted to the Career Services Office. Students can access job postings on-line through "Symplicity" at https://law-kent-csm.symplicity.com/students.  Students receive their username and passwords via email.  If you forget your password, click on the "Forgot my password" tab and your password will be reset and emailed to you.

C-K Alumni

Chicago-Kent College of Law graduates have free access to job postings on Symplicity.  To request a username and password for the on-line job postings, please contact the Career Services Office at Kentcso@kentlaw.edu or (312) 906-5200 with your name, year of graduation, and e-mail address.  After we receive your request, you will be sent an e-mail with your password and instructions for using the system.

General Instructions

GETTING STARTED WITH SYMPLICITY
To access Symplicity, go to https://law-kent-csm.symplicity.com/students. After logging in, please be sure to fill in your profile. If you are having trouble logging onto the site, please send an email to kentcso@kentlaw.edu.

After logging on to the system, you will see several tabs along the top of the screen, including "Home," "Profile," "Documents," "Jobs," "Employers,” “Clerkships” and “Calendar.”  After signing on the first time, you may change your password to something that is easier to remember by clicking on the Profile tab and selecting Change Password.

CAREER PROFILE
By using Symplicity, students and alumni are able to develop a profile describing their academic information and practice area interests.  On any drop down menu (such as practice area), you may make multiple selections by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking with your mouse.

JOB POSTINGS
To search the job postings, simply click on the tab labeled “Jobs.”  Symplicity allows you to search the alumni postings using the Advanced Search tab or you can view all the postings at once.  By clicking on the column header, you may change the order in which the job postings appear.  For example, clicking on the “Posted” heading allows you to view the most recent additions to the job bank first.

You may also create a Search Agent that will automatically run searches for you and e-mail you the results.

DOCUMENTS
Students and alumni have the ability to upload a personal resume using the Documents tab. Resumes can immediately be viewed online and are available to be sent electronically to employers in response to job postings in the job posting database, if the employer has selected that delivery method.

CLERKSHIPS
For those students and alums interested in pursuing a judicial clerkship, the "Clerkships" tab allows you to search the database of United States District and Circuit Court judges.

Need Help?
If you have any questions regarding the use of the alumni job postings on Symplicity, please contact the CSO, at kentcso@kentlaw.edu or 312-906-5200.
