Second Annual State of the Law School Address
On Monday, February 15 at 5:00 p.m., I will present my second State of
the Law School Address to the law school community in the Auditorium.
I look forward to sharing with you my thoughts on the strengths of the
law school, the challenges we face, and our plans for the future.
The legal profession in the next century will have to confront profound
changes brought about by information technology and other scientific advances
and by the increasing globalization of the economy, politics, and the law.
I believe that Chicago-Kent—or any law school—can thrive in the coming
years only by working creatively to meet these challenges, and I will discuss
a variety of avenues we are exploring to ensure that we remain at the cutting
edge of legal education. After my remarks, you will have an opportunity
to ask questions or share your own thoughts and concerns. I encourage
you to attend.
