Dean Perritt and Professor Stewart
Participate in Workshop
On 2-4 September, Dean Perritt and Professor Stewart participated in
a workshop organized by The Hague Conference on Private International Law
in Geneva, Switzerland. Dean Perritt and Professor Stewart led different
aspects of the workshop, concerned with the relationship between jurisdictional
problems raised by the Internet and a draft treaty on Court Jurisdiction
and the International Enforcement of Civil Judgments. The U.S. State
Department had asked Dean Perritt and Professor Stewart to participate
because of their work on the American Bar Association’s Internet Jurisdiction
project, coordinated through Chicago-Kent. Professor Stewart is reporter
for the project.
