Hague Conference on Private International Law 

Dean Perritt and Professor Stewart participated as invited experts at a meeting of the Hague Conference on Private International Law in Ottawa to consider a draft International Convention on Jurisdiction and the Enforcement of Civil Judgments. 


Distinguished Labor Leader Lecture

American Federation of Teachers President Sandra Feldman delivered the second annual Distinguished Labor Leader Lecture on Thursday, March 2, 2000.  Ms. Feldman spoke on "The Labor Movement and Our Children's Future."  The Distinguished Labor Leader Lecture is co-sponsored by Chicago-Kent's Institute for Law and the Workplace and the Chicago Federation of Labor.  It presents addresses by leading labor leaders on critical issues in the workplace.


Justice Anne Burke
Justice Anne Burke was presented with the Nellie Carlin award at the Chicago Area Law School Reception Honoring Women of the Juvenile Court with the support of the Chicago Bar Association Alliance for Women.  Dean Perritt presented the award to Justice Burke on Thursday, March 2, 2000, in honor of her distinguished service to the juvenile court.
