State of the Law School Address
On Tuesday, April 9, at 5:00 p.m., I will present the
State of the Law School Address in the Auditorium. This
is an exciting time to be a member of the Law School community,
and I would like to share with you my thoughts on some
of the changes we've made over the past year and where
we should go from here. I hope you will attend, and I
encourage any questions and suggestions that you may have.
Grant for College Student Summer Program
I am delighted to report that the Law School Admissions
Council has just awarded Chicago-Kent a grant to host
a summer program to help increase the number of underrepresented
minorities who attend law school. We hope the four-week
program will inspire the participants to become lawyers,
and we hope as well to provide substantive skills to strengthen
their preparation for the rigors of the law school experience.
If you are interested in helping out, please contact Assistant
Dean Michael Burns, whose excellent work made this opportunity
possible.
