Chicago-Kent College of Law's Institute for Law and the Workplace presents: The 29th annual Kenneth M. Piper Lecture "Religion and the Workplace". Featured lecturer: Thomas C. Kohler, Professor of Law, Boston College Law School. Commentators: Kim Bobo, Executive Director, Interfaith Worker Justice and Robert D. Campbell, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, NiSource Inc. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Description: Dean Krent will provide an update on the activity of Chicago-Kent law students and professors over the last year in the State of the Law School Address. Also, the Student Bar Association will present its Bar & Gavel, Student Organization of the Year, Staff Member of the Year, Adjunct Faculty Member of the Year, Faculty Member of the Year, and Brill Awards. Kent Justice Foundation (KJF) Auction
Time: 5:00 – 10:00 pm
Location: Lobby & Auditorium
Description: The 16th annual KJF fundraiser features a silent auction and an exciting live auction where attendees can bid on various prizes. All proceeds benefit fellowships for Kent students taking on unpaid or low-paying summer public interest internships. Tickets may be purchased for $10 in advance at the Spak or from KJF board members. Tickets are $12 at the door. The live auction starts at 7:00 pm. Food and drinks provided.

Location: 10th Floor Event Room
Description: The Chicago-Kent community will come together to celebrate the strength that comes with diversity. Student organizations will present the work they have been doing to help strengthen the legal community. The keynote speaker for the event will be Irvin Mayfield, Grammy-nominated jazz trumpeter and the Cultural Ambassador for the City of New Orleans. Reception with ethnic food and drinks to follow.

Barrister's Ball
Time: 7:00 pm – 12 midnight
Location: Shedd Aquarium
Description: Students and faculty celebrate the end of Law Week at the annual Barrister's Ball. This formal event will be held at the Shedd Aquarium and will include cocktail hour, aquarium tour, dinner, fish feeding, and dancing.
Institute for Law and the Humanities presents "The United States as a World Citizen: Human Rights, International Development and the United Nations."
"The United States as a World Citizen: Human Rights, International Development and the United Nations" will be the topic of a panel discussion featuring Professors Bart Brown, Hank Perritt, and Bernadette Atuahene, with commentary by Professor David Gerber.
