We have been notified by the Bursar's Office
that tuition charges for the Summer 1999 term will be posted on students'
accounts during the first week of June. Billing statements are expected
to go out one or two days after tuition postings. If you have any
questions about your Summer tuition, please contact the Bursar's Office.
The Office of Financial Aid will be making every
effort to have loan disbursements, federal and private, posted to students'
accounts simultaneous with tuition charges. If you loan disbursement
exceeds your tuition balance due, as per usual, students can expect a refund
check from the Bursar's Office 3-5 business days after a credit balance
appears on the account.
If you are visiting another law school for the
Summer term, your disbursement will be made available to you, your power
of attorney or your visiting school not more 10 days before the first day
of your consortium agreement.
Please remember that disbursements are not made
until an application/promissory note is received by the lender. If
you are uncertain as to whether you have submitted your Summer loan promissory
note, contact our office or your lender.
By now, students should have completed the FAFSA
and picked up the FINANCIAL AID GUIDE AND APPLICATION materials from the
Office of Financial Aid. Review your package of information
carefully--deadline dates, a flow chart, express loan forms and more are
included. For priority processing, the student financial aid file should
be completed by JUNE 1, 1999.
The Office of Financial Aid is open Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to
6:00 PM and Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. We are located on the second
floor in Suite 230. Please feel free to stop in our office during
business hours with any concerns or questions you may have.
