Award Letters

The Financial Aid Office began mailing out Award Letters on March 7. If you have not yet received an Award Letter for the 2002-2003 academic year, please make sure you have completed your 2002/03 FAFSA. Once the electronic copy of your FAFSA arrives at our school, you will receive an Award Letter.

Please note that for the upcoming academic year, students will receive Award Letters by both first-class mail and e-mail. Students may access their Award Package at: https://webforsun.cns.iit.edu/ahomepg.htm

Continuing Students

For the 2002/03 academic year, Federal Stafford loans will be processed with the lender that was selected for the current (2001/02) year and will be for the amounts that are listed on each student's 2002/03 Award Letter. If you wish to select a different lender, please notify the Financial Aid Office in writing (an e-mail would suffice).

Summer Processing

We will process summer federal loans for students who specified on their 2002/2003 FAFSA that they would be enrolled at least half-time for the Summer term. If you completed the 2002/03 FAFSA, but did not specify that you would be enrolled for Summer and have since decided that you will take Summer courses, please e-mail the Financial Aid Office at finaid@kentlaw.edu and state how many hours you intend on registering for. Students must complete the 2002/03 FAFSA in order to receive Summer federal loans. Please also note that you will not be packaged for financial aid or receive an Award Letter until you register for summer classes. In addition, students will receive a revised Award Letter for the academic year beginning with the fall term. For students who wish to apply for a private loan for the Summer, please e-mail the office with your request.
