The staff of the Information Center will
be giving tours to new 1L students August 16 - 21. If you would like
to take a tour, please come to the 9th Floor Service Desk at one of times
listed below. Tours should last approximately 30 minutes.

Copy Cards
The Information Center has a new copy
card system. If you have copy cards from the old system you can exchange
them for new cards (with full value) until September 7.
Illinois Collection
The Information Center's collection of
Illinois materials, formerly shelved on the 6th floor, has been moved to
the 10th floor Illinois Reserve Room. Illinois Statutes and other
Illinois materials formerly in the 10th floor Main Reading Room have also
been moved into the Illinois Reserve Room and integrated with the existing
Illinois Reserve collection. A set of Smith-Hurd Illinois Annotated
Statutes, Illinois Reports, Illinois Appellate Court Reports, and the Illinois
Digest are still available on the 9th floor. Please ask at the Reference
Desk if you have any questions.
New Library System Update
The implementation of our new online system,
scheduled to be available soon, is progressing. The new and improved system
will provide greater searching capabilities and online circulation. Until
the new system is fully implemented, we will no longer enter new data into
Clark. We will, however, have information about new materials available
at the Reference Desk.
The library software has arrived and the
staff training has started. We will spend the next few weeks imputing data
to make the new catalog current. It will take us a while to get used
to the new system, so please be patient if everything isn't "business as
usual" during our time of transition.
