Introducing the Library's New Website

On June 1, the Library unveiled the latest version of our website at  The website has a new look and organization that will simplify locating Library resources and information.  We've added new features, including more about our services to faculty and students.  Note that some resources now have new locations.  For example, our hours, staff list, and maps are under "Access."  Electronic databases and journals can be found in the "E-Resources" section.  The online version of the Daily Bulletin is now under "Services".

Please use our feedback form to let us know if you have any questions or problems, or contact our Electronic Resources Librarian, Debbie Ginsberg, at

I-Share Requesting Simplified

Thank you for your patience during the Library’s catalog upgrade. I-Share is now back up and running! The new version of the I-Share catalog allows you to place requests and login to the My Account feature using only your 14-digit barcode and your last name. Choosing “Illinois Institute of Technology” as your institution is no longer required since the system will recognize that you’re a currently enrolled student at IIT through your barcode number. If you want more information about I-Share, please visit: or contact Eric Neagle, Circulation Manager, or 312-906-5662.

General Library Policies

Please be courteous and respect your fellow students by keeping your voices down and your study areas clean. Food should remain outside the library. If you must bring a cell phone, please turn it off or set the ringer to vibrate, and remember to take the phone outside the library before you start your conversation. Drinks may be brought into the library, provided that you dispose of the container in the appropriate recycling bin when you are finished. No food or drinks of any kind are allowed in the computer labs. You can find more library policies online:

The Library staff wishes to remind all students that the Library is open to the public, and students should guard against petty thefts by keeping their laptops and other valuables close at all times.
