Top Bosnia Human Rights Official to Speak today on
Prosecution of War Criminals in Bosnia and Kosovo
Noon on Monday, April 5 in Room 305
 The Global Law and Policy Initiative is pleased to announce a luncheon discussion on Monday, April 5 by Peggy L. Hicks, who served for two years as Deputy High Representative for Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina and before that as principal human rights advisor for the UN Secretary-General’s special representative in Croatia.

 Ms. Hicks will speak on the topic, “How Much Justice is Enough?  Prosecution and Reconciliation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo.”  She will discuss the impact on the current conflict in Kosovo of the West’s failure to prosecute war criminals aggressively in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 As Deputy High Representative, Ms. Hicks coordinated human rights policy for the office established by the international community to implement civilian aspects of the Dayton Peace Accords, which ended the 1992-95 Bosnian War.

 The discussion will take place at Noon on Monday, April 5 in Room 305 at Chicago-Kent College of Law, 565 West Adams Street, Chicago.  Lunch will be served.  Admission is complimentary.
