Work Study Opportunity
The Law Offices is offering a work study opportunity in
one of its skills-based programs. The Legal and Judicial
Externship Programs include over 90 different placements
including judges, government agencies, and private organizations
and firms. The programs have an opportunity for a work study
student to do administrative projects under the supervision
of Professor Vivien Gross or her Administrative Assistant
This position is only for students who are work study
eligible. There will be about 8-10 hours of work per week.

Spring 2011 Semester: Externships with U.S. Attorney's
Northern District of Illinois
If you are interested in exposure to and possible participation
in federal trial and appellate practice while assisting
the U.S. Attorney's Office in handling its multitude of
important cases, please pick up an application in Room 612
from Carole Ross, administrative assistant to Professor
Completed applications must be received at the Office of
the U.S. Attorney by Monday, September 20, 2010.
The reason for this accelerated date is because each accepted
extern must go through a security clearance, which takes
To receive law school credit for this externship, should
you be selected by the U.S. Attorney's Office, you must
enroll in the law school's Legal Externship Program. The
law school's externship applications for Spring semester
2011 will be available in mid-October in Room 600 Law Offices
reception area, outside of the cafeteria, and in the Career
Professor Gross will be happy to answer any questions
you may have about either the Legal Externship Program and/or
the externship position with the U.S. Attorney's Office.
