Fall Registration

The preliminary schedule for the Fall 2003 semester will be published and available for download by the end of the day Monday, May 5, 2003 at http://www.kentlaw.edu/depts/reg/webregistration.htm. You can pick up a hard-copy of the preliminary schedule on the table outside the Spakateria on Tuesday.

Registration for the Fall 2003 semester will take place between Thursday, May 8 and Saturday, May 10.

As has been the procedure in the past, you may register at any time during this period. The registration system will close at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday. We strongly recommend that you register during normal business hours so that there are staff available to assist you with any problems. After the end of the initial registration period, the registration requests will be processed according to each student's registration priority. In other words, registration will not be conducted on a first-come, first served basis. As long as you register during the designated period, you will have an equal chance of being admitted to a class as other students with your registration priority group.

Registering for a course does not mean you are enrolled in it. To learn what classes you have been admitted to, you must check the registration web site on Monday, May 12, beginning at 12:01 a.m. At that time, you may add, drop, or make adjustments to your class schedule in "real time" on a first-come, first-served basis.

We understand that this is an extremely busy time and appreciate your understanding and patience.

Clinical Lottery

To be considered for a place in one of the fall 2003 in-house clinical education programs, students must submit a completed application to the Law Offices’ Receptionist in Suite 600 by Tuesday May 6, 2003 at 5:00 p.m.

The Law Offices will conduct the lottery and post the results on the Law Offices' Bulletin Board outside Room 600 by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 7, 2003. We also e-mail the results to all applicants.

The Law Offices will require the students who have been selected to confirm their acceptance no later than 11:00 a. m. on Thursday, May 8, 2003. If students do not respond by the 11:00 a.m. deadline, the Law Offices will offer their places to students on the waiting list. If you have any questions, please contact Arnold Hoskins, Law Offices Administrator, at ahoskins@kentlaw.edu.

For more information regarding each clinic, you may talk directly with the clinical professors who supervise the various clinical programs -- Professors Gonzalez (room 629) and Leader (625) for Employment Discrimination/Civil Rights with some General Practice; Professors Kling (room 625) and Thomas (room 609) for Criminal Defense; Professor Feldman (room 623) for Family Law; Professor Kraus (room 627) for Health Law; Professor Kentra (room 611) for Mediation & other ADR Procedures; Professor Decatorsmith (room 625) for Tax Disputes; and Professor Gross (room 617) for the Judicial and Legal Externship Programs.
