Spring 2017 Semester Information. The Spring 2017 Quick Guide page has most of the information you will need in advance of the start of the Spring semester -- click here, or go to the main Current Students Portal page and click on the Spring 2017 Quick Guide link under "Academics & Grades." Alternatively, click on the individual links below to go directly to the indicated documents.
Pass/fail elections for the Spring semester must be made online no later than Monday, February 13, 5:00pm. Please review section 2.4 "Pass/Fail Election" in the Student Handbook if you have any questions regarding your pass/fail elections. In order to make your election, you should:
Log into Web for Students.
Select the "Take Class Pass/Fail" option under the "Online Forms" heading
Select the course you would like to take on a pass/fail basis
Submit your selection
The Registrar's Office will review your request and inform you if there is any problem with your request.
Students will now be able to receive a “plain copy” version of the unofficial transcript from the Registrar’s Office. The Registrar's Office will no longer issue copies of transcripts to students on “official” transcript paper. Transcripts are not emailed!
Each copy of the “unofficial transcript will be stamped “issued to student”. You may then copy as many of these as you desire. Official transcripts are issued to: employers, institutions and other entities that require an official copy.
The exception: if you are required to submit the official copy in a “sealed envelope” as part of an application packet, you must indicate the name of *each recipient on the newly revised transcript request form. The recipient must meet the requirement of those who can receive an “official transcript”. Upon verification by the Registrar’s Office, the official transcript will be sent to you in a “sealed envelope” to include with said application packet(s).
*You cannot list your own name as recipient.
Official Student Withdrawal Process.
Students wishing to request a leave of absence from their course of study or complete an official withdrawal from the university should now initiate the process online. To begin the process, log in to the MyIIT portal and under the ‘Academics’ tab, look for the ‘Graduate Academic Affairs’ channel. Chicago-Kent students should follow the ‘I want to take a leave of absence or officially withdraw’ link under the ‘Chicago-Kent College of Law’ header.
