Brown Bag Lunch Series for First Year Students! 

The office of Student Services is sponsoring a series of lunch-time workshops designed to help in you succeed in your first semester and beyond. There is no need to R.S.V.P.  If you have questions, please feel free to contact Chris Matheny or stop by the Office of Student Services. 

Demystifying the Socratic Method

Professors Margaret Stewart, Stuart Deutsch, and Katharine Baker will each discuss how they use the Socratic Method.  They will also talk about what they hope to get out of using the Socratic Method, and give tips on how to prepare for Socratic questioning.  In short, they will answer the age-old question - "I've read the material, so why can't I answer the questions?"
