 AEP Teaching Assistants - Spring Semester Applications

 Teaching Assistants will be hired for all professors teaching Property, Justice, Civil Procedure, and Constitutional Law.  Applicants must  have a 3.00 minimum GPA, and should expect to devote between 5-10 hours per week to the program. Applications will be available from begining early next week.  If you have any questions regarding the program, please contact Chris Matheny in room 544. 

Minority Legal Education Resources Program Announcement

The Minority Legal Education Resources (MLER) Consortium is offering you the chance to meet Federal Judges, Ann Claire Williams, Ruben Castillo William Hibbler, and State Court Judge Sharon

The judges will discuss many topics including; developing legal writing abilities, becoming active in the
 legal community, externships, summer jobs, clerkships and preparing for the bar exam. 

This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and network with some of the top people in the Chicago Legal
Community.  This event is to be held at The John Marshall School on Wednesday, October 20, 1999 at
4:30 pm.  The John Marshall Law School is located at 315 South Plymouth Court.  A reception will
follow the event.  For more information or walking/driving directions, please contact Chris Matheny in
 the Office of Student Services. 

Final Exam Reschedule - Deadline

Students who believe that they meet the requirements for a rescheduled final exam must complete a Final Exam Reschedule Form by Monday, November 15, 1999.

As the temperature drops and cold & flu season approaches, it is important that you keep yourself in top physical condition.  If you need to see a doctor or have questions about your coverage, please check out the Aetna/Chickering web-stite at

The web site features online policy descriptions and a searchable database of doctors.  If you can't find the answer to your questions, stop by the Office of Student Services for more information.

Volunteers Needed - Stratagies for Excellence: Law as a Profession 2000

We are seeking 1L and 3L students to help with this year's program.  This is a great opportunity for you to gain exposure to the Chicago legal community.  If you are interested in volunteering, please stop by the Office of Student Services or Career Services. You can check out last year's program by visiting the web-site.  Check back often for updates regarding this year's program.  It promises to be better than ever!
