U-Passes Are Still Available
U-Passes are available for pick up from Denise Lang outside of Dean Sowle's office. This week wil be your last chance to get these cards. If your card was not available during the initial distribution, you will receive an email when it arrives.

U-Pass Announcements from CTA
Lost or Stolen Cards
To get a replacement U-Pass, students should bring their valid student ID and $35 (cash, credit card, or money order) replacement fee to the CTA general offices. A replacement U-Pass will be issud and sent to the school. CTA will replace lost or stolen U-Pass cards only once per academic term.

Captured in Fare Equipment
On the bus... When the U-Pass is mistakenly inserted into the bus dollar slot, it is the student's responsibility to complete a captured fare report from the bus operator. Students bring the report along with a valid student ID to the CTA general offices. Students do not receive a temporary card; however, a transfer is provided.

At the rail station... After the U-Pass is captured at the station, students are to locate the customer assistant to complete a captured fare report and receive a free transit card to complete the ride. The student then brings the completed report and valid student ID to the CTA general offices to request a new U-Pass. CTA will provide a temporary transit card and a replacement U-Pass will be issued to the school.

If a student fails to get a report, it may take up to two weeks to replace the U-Pass. Should this happen, students must call 1-888-YOUR-CTA to track down their report to timely receive a new U-Pass.

Defective, Damaged or Demagnetized
When CTA fare equipment cannot read a U-Pass, the bus operator will allow the student to complete the ride for free; however, the student must bring the defective, damaged, or demagnetized U-Pass along with a valid student ID to the CTA general offices to request a replacement. CTA will immediately issue a temporary transit card and a replacement U-Pass will be sent to the school.

CTA Offices
CTA Headquarters is located at 567 West Lake Street. The offices are one block east of the Green Line Clinton stop. The Customer Service Department is located on the second floor.
