Program
ASP presents
the next installment of the Getting Started Series. Faculty,
administrators, and students will provide suggestions on
how to survive the exam period and succeed on your final
exams. Valuable handouts will also be distributed. This
program will take place on Tuesday, November 8, at 12:00pm
in room 590 and Wednesday, November 9, at 5:00pm in room
590. Preparing for and Taking Exams is open to everyone.
CBA Famous Trial Series: The Loop
Flood Case
Due to unforeseen circumstances, this program
has been cancelled. CBA will reschedule another Famous Trial
presentation for early in the spring semester. Keep checking
the Record for more details.
Illinois Bar Admissions Presentation
for 3Ls and 4Ls
This is your chance to have all your questions
about bar applications and bar admissions answered! Representatives
from the Illinois Board of Admissions to the Bar will present
information about the application process, deadlines, and
filing fees. They will also explain and answer your questions
about the character and fitness portion of the application.
You should download and look over the application materials
available at www.ibaby.org
before coming to this program. Please attend on Wednesday,
November 16, at 3:00-4:00pm or 5:00-6:00pm in Room C50.
2L Evening Student Volunteers Needed
We are looking for 2L evening students who
are interested in assisting with fire evacuation procedures
in the evenings. We will provide training for volunteers
so you feel confident in directing your classmates in case
of an emergency. The time commitment is minimal, and your
help will be greatly appreciated. If you are interested,
please contact either Jamie
Lake or Caroline
Cascino by November 4.

If you are interested in being a Teaching
Assistant for a first-year class next semester, please submit
an application by November 18, 2005. A complete application
includes an application form, unofficial transcript, and
a recent resume. You can find more information about job
responsibilities, grade requirements, compensation, and
application forms at www.kentlaw.edu/academics/asp/ta_requirements.html.
Application forms are also available on the table near the
3rd floor elevators.
We are hiring Teaching Assistants for Civil Procedure (Profs.
Marder, Laser, Steinman), Property (Profs. Hamilton, Harding,
Perritt, Atuahene), and Contracts (Prof. Warner).
